What is a break room?
A break room is a fun activity where you enter a specially built room designed for breaking things in. You’ll be given a set of fragile items to break, smash, throw and destroy in any of a number of ways.
Are food and drinks available?
We have a number of drinks and snacks available for purchase.
Is alcohol available?
Our Wellington Central and Auckland Central venues is licensed and you can choose from a range of drinks on site- No BYO. Brewtown does not have a license and no BYO drinks are permitted on site. Note- we do not permit intoxicated persons to be on the premises.
Is it safe?
While dealing with sharp objects can be dangerous, we take great care making sure all of our customers are participating in accordance to our safety rules. You will be provided with full safety gear and be shown how everything works. If you’re following the rules you’ll be completely fine.
For your safety, we only allow a maximum of 2 people in the room while items are being smashed.
What if I’m late?
All of our sessions start on time, so if you’re late you might miss out on your session. To combat this we recommend telling everyone to arrive 10 minutes early.
How do I book?
Follow the ‘Book Now’ links then select a date, the available times will be displayed. Follow the prompts and make your payment, you will receive a confirmation email upon completion. Please read the email carefully paying close attention to the date and time you booked.
What do I need to wear?
All participants MUST wear the safety gear provided as you’ll be surrounded by broken bits and pieces. The gear includes; coveralls, full face mask and gloves. Ear muffs and boots are encouraged and available on-site as well.
Underneath your coveralls you’ll be able to wear whatever you’d like. We recommend something comfortable and good for being active.
Age Limit?
Particpants must be 12 or older. Ages 12-15 must have a parent or guardian in the room with them, ages 16-17 must have a parent or guardian on the premises with them.
We do allow small children on site, they must be actively supervised by a parent or guardian. All minors must be actively supervised. We recommend not bringing small infants as It is a loud venue.

Do I need a booking? Can I just walk-in?
Our venues accept walk-ins from Thurs-Sun, though times vary, please check our Google Listings for opening hours. We recommend you do book in advance or give us a call to secure a spot!
Can I bring my own items to break?
Unfortunately not at this time.
Can I attend if I'm pregnant?
Pregant folks are more than welcome in our space, however we recommend against participating in the Smashroom.
They are welcome to stay with other people before or after the session, including the use of our pool table, darts, ping pong tables or other activities.
